THE CHALLENGE
Solano County lies just to the east of the Bay Area consisting of six main cities. The landscape offers a unique mix of rural and suburban lifestyles, with major industries focusing in agriculture, corporate business and biotechnology. They wanted their rebrand to showcase the diverse opportunities this area has to offer in order to increase business development, population and overall economic growth.
STYLE GUIDE

THE SOLUTION
After discovering the clients needs, learning about their area, and researching their surrounding competition, we presented three simple moodboards that each included a corresponding logo sketch. The client was drawn to the illustrative "S" concept that represented defining elements the county had to offer: agriculture, biotech, waterfronts, and urban communities. We recreated the sketch concept digitally and simplified the design so it would work better at small sizes. Color palette options were then explored, and the client landed on a vibrant blue and green gradient to represent water, agriculture and life/growth.

After the logo was finalized, we developed a logo file library and a simple one page style guide complete with logo variations, color values and typography. Additional marketing materials were then developed with the new brand identity applied: business cards, envelopes, letterhead, presentation templates and email signatures.
