THE CHALLENGE

All professional brands need a comprehensive brand book to help ensure a clear, consistent brand experience across every piece of media. This includes access to an asset library that contains logo files, brand fonts, design templates or supporting graphics in order to create consistent documentation.

Traditional brand books are designed in programs like InDesign or Illustrator and exported as a digital PDF file or printed, with the asset library delivered through a file sharing service or compressed folder attachment. This delivery method isn't ideal because if the information becomes outdated or the client loses their documents, they have to reach out to their designer in order to replace or reprint them.

THE SOLUTION

We designed a one page website template to serve as a web-based brand book and offered it as an add on product for our clients. This solution eliminated the clients need to keep track of any files or documentation, and instead provided them with one simple URL that they could easily access all brand information and share with team members.

The layout featured a sticky side bar navigation which acted as a clickable table of contents that anchor linked the user to the corresponding section on the page. The final section contained the assets library where the user could download logos in various file types as well as any other brand assets (templates, icons, fonts etc). We also included call-to-actions for any other online services we provided them, as well as a "contact support" button to request brand book updates.

The template was designed to be responsive to any device type and featured a sticky hamburger icon on mobile to show or hide the navigation bar.
